How to Enjoy the Journey

Holidays are some of my favorite days because regardless of what holiday we’re celebrating they always end up being days centered around family as well. Father’s Day is always a favorite because well, I love being a dad! Honestly it’s one of the best things in the world! I love being there when my kids wake up and I love laying them down to sleep. I love just watching them, listening to them, spending time with them. I love sharing moments together and making memories with them.

Last years Father’s Day started something like this…when I woke up I was showered with gifts! Specifically two different kinds of gifts.

The Most Important Call You Have Ever Received

I remember when I first came to know Jesus it was the best time in my life that I can ever recall. It was as if I was truly alive for the first time! I was filled with such a love, joy and peace that I had not previously known. For the first time in my life I had discovered this love and it gave me such a sense of purpose! I remember wanting the whole world to know this love! I was so happy, so joyful and so alive!

This was my story for days, weeks, months, even years! But something happened over time, life got busy, I became distracted and I slowly forgot all that God had done for me.

Grace is Meant to be Shared

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10

God Knows…

God knows what’s on your heart. He knows what you need and He knows the things you’ve been crying out to Him for. He loves you, He’s got you, He knows…

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
Psalm 139:1-6

Be encouraged, God knows!

How To Experience Real And Lasting Change!

Developing Healthy Thought Patterns

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2

When God delivered the Israelites from the captivity of Egypt He led them through the wilderness as they made their way to the promised land. What could have only taken them two weeks ended up taking them forty years! Why did it take that long? Because it was easy for God to take them out of Egypt but it was a lot harder for God to take Egypt out of them. He tried to humble them, testing them in hopes that they would trust Him and obey (Deuteronomy 8:2).

However the Israelites had been in captivity for so long that even when they were free they were still slaves!
