“But you, O Lord, are a God of compassion and mercy, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.” Psalm 86:15
God is so good, so kind, so compassionate, full of mercy, slow to anger, abounding with love and He is faithful! He is kinder than we currently perceive, generous in showing us an unlimited amount of mercy, so slow to anger and absolutely overflowing with a unfailing covenant love towards us, His children. These truth’s are absolute – nothing can change them! And it is vital that we recall the kindness and faithfulness of our God often, especially in the busy and difficult days we live in! In this life we will go through difficult seasons but if we can remember who our God is, we will learn to see our difficulties through the context that God is good, full of love and always faithful! Every difficulty we face we have an opportunity to exercise our faith and believe that God is good, kind and faithful! And if indeed He is good, kind and faithful than we can trust His character and see our difficulty in a new light. So no matter the storm you may find yourself in you begin to see God in the midst of it and this provides great hope for your heart! You learn to find comfort and encouragement even in the hardest and the most difficult seasons of life. This is victory my friends! This is joy, this is peace, this is the kingdom! And it is through this (God’s faithfulness) that God invites us to know Him in greater and more intimate ways (1 Corinthians 1:9). So no matter what you may be facing today be encouraged knowing that God is good, He loves you and He is faithful to work it all out for your good and for His glory!
