Come Home

In college I used to “come home” for a good meal, time with the family and lots of love. There was something special about coming home, it was always refreshing and worth the drive!

As believers this world is not our home, our home awaits us in the world to come. But we can get a taste of heaven here on earth – it’s found by being around God’s people and in His presence! In Acts 17:28 the Bible clearly states that “in Him we live, we move, we have our being.”

So really our home is in Him! This is why we feel refreshed after church and sense our burdens being lifted while we gather and worship. May I be used to encourage you today in saying, “come home!” Whether that’s gathering with believers weekly or coming into the Father’s presence daily… Come home!

Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

60 Seconds Worthwhile

Tired, weary, lack of real passion and joy, feeling empty and just going through the motions, wore out, stuck in the mundane with a lack of purpose and praise. Sound all too familiar?

When’s the last time you got alone with God and allowed His love to wash over you? When’s the last time you put on some soft worship music, opened up your Bible and simply sat in the presence of God?

I tell you today with all my heart, life is in His presence!

Here are just a few of the benefits that are waiting for you:

  • purpose
  • passion
  • freedom
  • rest
  • blessing
  • inheritance
  • fruitfulness

So…what are you waiting for? Find some time TODAY and get alone with Jesus! Waves of refreshing will crash over you and you will rise with great joy and strength from His presence.

Don’t settle for anything less than God’s best…

“Father, fill your children with your presence even now, bless them Lord! Let them find great peace, rest and joy in your presence. Strengthen them today in Jesus name, amen!”

The Answer is…

Last night both of my boys came in my room (at two different times), they woke up and were scared of the dark so they sought out their daddy and immediately felt safe.

I believe for many it’s been a dark season. There have been many storms across the country, around the world, and some within our own homes – chaos, fighting, turmoil, confusion, sickness, heartbreak, disappointment, fear, depression, anger, worry, you name it!

Well today I want to declare to you that for many this season is over! And for others it’s quickly coming to an end. Yes there will still be some difficulties ahead but there is a safe place for you! It’s a place where nothing by any means will hurt you. For my children that safe place was me, the answer to their problem was simply being in my presence.

May I tell you that the same is true for you and me. No matter what we have been going through or what we may be facing, no matter what the problem is, our answer is in God’s presence! Times of refreshing come from His presence, great peace and the fullness of joy are in His presence, He shows us the path of life in His presence. He makes even the dark places light!

A new season is coming but remember with every problem that you may face, the answer is…in His presence!

NEVER GIVE UP

There are countless times and countless reasons I’ve felt like giving up:

-Discouragement

-Wore out

-Overwhelmed with difficulties

-Things not changing as fast as I’d like them to

-Focusing on the problems

-Feeling hopeless

-Feel alone

-Seen others give up

-Lost sight of the vision

The list could honestly go on and on.

What I am so thankful to God about is His grace that has enabled me to NEVER GIVE UP!

He is the one who has kept me when I’ve felt like giving up and throwing in the towel time and time again.

He faithfully reminds me of the vision, picks me up when I’m down, encourages and empowers me to keep going!

This week I felt inspired to share this heartfelt message with true stories and practical encouragement.

So if you feel like giving up, know someone who does or just want to hear a couple inspiring stories – this weeks video is for YOU!
